To fly on Hot-air balloons... Dreams become true! Hand-Carved rubber stamps, set of 3.
We live nowadays in a society in which the happiness seems to be insomuch banish to daily thoughts that its search becomes something about which to feel ashamed or to condemn as a kind of dangerous childish game. A game that adults, with their conceit, can simply settle saying "you will change growing up!". I am not surprised if these persons are the same that swapped the happiness with the consumerism and that are spending their whole life following continuously fleeting trends, persuaded that their frustrations derive from the fact that they do not own yet the latest model of car, for buying which with they could be disposed to do anything and to discover that, once get, it is already obsolete... A perverse device for which the great part of persons finds themselves to have a job that they hate only to buy things that they don't need, to impress persons about which they don't care nothing.
To find into such an apocalyptic scenario few exceptions that don't give up to consumerism, it is not only gratifying for me but it also consents us to catch a glimpse of the precious hope of an alternative...
The poetic blog of Sélunair dedicated to montgolfières gives me rise to this thought. Here's the idea to carve a stamp set of Hot-air balloons born in me; I've seen in this flying balloon the symbol of the authentic search for happiness, that is the pure pleasure able to fully gratify us. Flying with a montgolfière represents the dream that born since we were children. It is like a kind of hula-hoop that surrounds the emotion of childhood succeeding magically to reconcile us with the worst disgrace of our life: to be never adults and then to discover, suddenly, to be no longer children.
Stamps are carved in a high quality plastic eraser and are mounted on wood for easy stamping. They are placed into a fabric tote decorated with the stamps features.

Alice in Wonderland Felt Brooches
'Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?'
'That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,' said the Cat.
'I don't much care where--' said Alice.
'Then it doesn't matter which way you go,' said the Cat.
'--so long as I get somewhere,' Alice added as an explanation.
'Oh, you're sure to do that,' said the Cat, `if you only walk long enough.'
Do you like these brooches? They're now on sale on my DaWanda shop!
These brooches are hand crafted in felt by me and in the back they are attached to metal pin back.

Waiting for "Alice in Wonderland" by Tim Burton... Hand-Carved rubber stamps, set of 7
The waiting for Alice in Wonderland by Tim Burton is growing to highest levels... I'm beside myself! The roman of Carroll is already in itself a visionary travel and Burton will surely satisfy his whims shaping with his wit the magic craziness of this wonderful world. I'm really looking forward to fall over the well of the wild fantasy of Burton following trails that do not lead us to anywhere, with rules made only of exceptions. Waiting for the movie, I'm glad to present my Alice!
Because Alice is not only a blond and conceited girl, who's dipped into a fairy-tale world in which the surreal turns into a sublime zest for paradox and in which all certainties of adults are derided with the use of non-sense and of the "oblivion lessons" by the Mock Turtle.
Alice is also the passe-partout that opens the doors of our contemporaneous world, pointing out its thousands of contradictions, its many darks and few lights. Alice is the symbol of we-all girls that, at any age and in any situation, we fell vaguely uncomfortable or out-of-place, either too big or too small, either too thin or too fat, but in any case inadequate and unable to choose the right thing to do, the right part of the mushroom to eat! And, as Alice, we taste, we raven, we gulp down, then we cry and fast trying to be right size for the situation. Alice, by this way, become for us the attempt to follow a kind of desperate hope, aware of the fact that sometimes we live as prisoner of someone else's dreams and of the fact that the "wonderland" in which we live is often nothing else from a hateful and rude world, inhabited by wicked kings and queens.
I conclude, indeed, saying that these rubber stamps are dedicated to all "Alice" of this world, which loved the tale by Carroll and which are really looking forward to see the Burton's version of this story. I'm sure about the fact that my stamps will help you in keeping down your enthusiasm through customizing everything you want (paper, fabric, porcelain, metal, vinyl, plastic, glass, leather etc...) with the Alice's adventures!
Stamps are carved in a high quality plastic eraser and are mounted on wood for easy stamping. They are placed in a paper box decorated with the stamps features.

I love these little mushrooms. For keeping all their sweetness, I've taken the decision to put them under glass, into a a jam jar. In addition to embellish your shelves, their magic will make you lucky and happy!
... and for remaining on the topic of mushrooms, here you can find some other very sweet brooches; under a coloured hood, three little friends are hiding themselves, longing for adorning whatever you would like to hang them on to accompany you everywhere! Among all these mushrooms, a little and greedy bee peeps out just because here on MemiTheRainbow's blog the sweetness always rules!!
These brooches are hand crafted in felt by me and in the back they are attached to metal pin back. The little mushrooms in the jar are in felt and handcrafted by me as well, the jars are made in glass.

Birds in a golden open cage. Hand Carved Rubber stamps, set of 3.
What do you prefer? Imagine to be a little bird and that you could make your choice....
Would you prefer to be a flat-bird, whom always has plentiful of food and fresh water, warm during winters but closed into a cage....
Or would you prefer to be a street-bird..., surely food will be scarce, you would satisfy yourself with bread grain and water from puddles... there would be dangers, diseases, a very hard life, but you would have the whole sky where to fly....
My question is: why to be forced to choose between the first and the second alternative while yon can have both?!? You know, I think that the TRUE freedom is to can choose the one or the other choice following how you feel at the moment. There's some days in which you could feel the need to be protected into a little cage in which you can collect your thought... this cage, however, has never to be transformed into a jail: it has to be always open in order to leave you free to fly away into the world giving you the opportunity to come back without to be obliged to escape for ever!
These stamps represent the real freedom: that's to be able to choose what you want without compulsions or intimidations and avoiding that an enormous system swallow us!
Stamps are carved in a high quality plastic eraser and are mounted on wood for easy stamping. They are placed in a paper box putted into a fabric tote decorated with the stamps features.

Tender Love Felt Brooches! Dog and Cat: who said that's impossible to be friends??
We can take only few things in our life for granted: the fire burns, if something can go amiss it surely goes in that way, nobody is able to lick his (or her) own elbows, all nuns have moustaches and cats and dogs hate themselves reciprocally.Well, be ready to hold tightly to your seat because one of your certainties is toppling over. No, I have not yet find a num without moustaches yet... but it a great honour for me to present to you the evidence of the fact that not only the friendship between dogs and cats is possible, they could even fall in love. Kira (the dog) and Sciatò (the cat) are really inseparable and I adore them! These felt brooches are dedicated to their tender love!
